The economy in Laos, heavily dependent on tourism, has been hit hard by the pandemic. The Khmu artisans who hand craft Nature Bags and other JungleVine® Eco-Friendly Products are among the small population in Laos still earning an income during these hard times. As a result, artisans from more and more remote villages are eager to create bags and earn income, especially those who are helping their adult children who've lost their jobs in the tourism industry.

Inviting more villages to work with the Nature Bag project inevitably means we initially get some odd pieces that are unlike the standard sizes and colors we're used to seeing. We've received a shipment of nearly 200 Pahk JungleVine® Tote Bags, but they are much shallower than our standard sizes. We've put these pieces here, in Shallow Pahk, at prices 33% to 37% lower than standard wholesale Pahk prices.

Centimeters are our primary unit for measuring. Inches are approximate and may be rounded up or down to the nearest inch.

The first measurement is the width of the opening at the top of the bag. The second measurement is the depth of the bag from the top opening to the bottom seam. Shallow bags have the same first measurement (top opening) as standard sizes, but the depth, from the top opening to the bottom seam, is less than our standard sizes.
